SpaItalia Celebrating 115 Years of Alfa Romeo in style!
It is June 24th…. 1910. Almost 115 years ago! A new company was founded in Milan: A.L.F.A., which stands for Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili. This company would soon become known as Alfa Romeo. This marked the beginning of a remarkable story that included a significant presence in motorsport during the 1930s, with racing cars proudly featuring the biscione and the cross of Milan, thanks to the involvement of a certain Enzo Ferrari.
In the 1950s and 1960s, Alfa Romeo’s most iconic models, which epitomized elegance and sportiness, gained increasing recognition. During this time, Giuseppe ‘Nino’ Farina and Juan Manuel Fangio helped the brand secure the first two Formula 1 World Championships.
Today, Alfa Romeo is part of the Stellantis group, and it continues to radiate passion. This 'Cuore Sportivo' will be showcased during the SpaItalia event on Sunday, June 15th, as part of the brand's 115th-anniversary celebration. A large exhibition will be held in the paddock at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, featuring 12 cars, including several significant historical gems that highlight Alfa Romeo's rich heritage. Organizers at DG Sport will announce the specific cars that will be on display shortly.
It's already certain the expo will include a Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde Nürburgring Edition, a turbulent Alfasud, a stunning 4C, and the new Junior Quadrifoglio Verde. The exhibition will showcase both production models and racing cars.
With such an eye-catching theme for the main SpaItalia exhibition, enthusiasts of beautiful Italian automobiles surely won't miss this traditional early summer event!
