SpaItalia Shell SpaItalia 2023 celebrating 60 years of Lamborghini!
For lovers of Italian cars and motorbikes, Shell SpaItalia is undoubtedly the unmissable event, never foregoing an opportunity to highlight one of the prestigious makes. In 2023 the 60th anniversary of Lamborghini will be celebrated all over the world… and as such also on the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday 11th June!
His name was Ferruccio Lamborghini, an industrialist in his own right. And prior to producing sportscars he had made his fortune in… tractors! It was in May 1963 that he created the Automobili Lamborghini in Sant’Agata Bolognese. And the make’s founder had no lack of ambitions, since his objective was to do better than Ferrari and Maserati. No less!
If the 350 GT, with Carrozzeria Touring bodywork, was to be the first Lamborghini in history, legendary models were to follow over the course of the vicissitudes of a make today in the hands of Audi. Ranging from the Miura to the Aventador, via the Espada, Countach, Diablo, Gallardo, Murcielago and the Huracán, Lamborghini left its mark in Grand Touring history, making the Bull a highly serious competitor to the Prancing Horse…
This wonderful saga, now spanning sixty years, will be retraced through an exhibition displaying the make’s emblematic models, each one more elegant and spectacular than the next one. Certainly, one of the highlights of this 20th edition of Shell SpaItalia, a vintage definitely not lacking in prestige.
And true to tradition, there will be plenty of Lamborghini models in the paddock of the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, while their melodious sounds will contribute to the exceptional soundtrack of the meeting signed DG Sport.
