SpaItalia ‘Professeur Raoul’ is back with his Lancia Delta HF Integrale Gr. A!

It will certainly be some extra icing on the cake of SpaItalia 2024 on Sunday, June 16th! Raul Marchisio, who was present last year and is better known as 'Professeur Raoul', will again be heading to the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, to the delight of his many fans! This time he does so with a Lancia Delta HF Integrale Gr. A ex-Didier Auriol, to perform many drift sessions!

As a rally driver in the 90s and sports car dealer in Monaco Raul Marchisio has now also become a social media icon, thanks to the famous car content creator GMK, who has made him his loyal sidekick! The astonishing result: their videos about Supercars and Hypercars achieve mind-blowing viewing figures! To the extent that 'Professeur Raoul' makes both young and old dream...

Last year, during the 20th edition of SpaItalia, the man not only proved to be incredibly open and available, but his eternal good spirit impressed everybody as well. He had heads turning everywhere, fans cheering and smartphones filming!

“We could have simply gone for a repeat of that scenario, but after a conversation with the 'Professeur' we decided that the SpaItalia public was entitled to even more,” says a laughing Florian Jupsin on behalf of DG Sport. “For this 21st year of SpaItalia, Raul Marchisio will be present with his Lancia Delta HF Integrale Gr. A, the car with which Didier Auriol won the Sanremorally in 1991. The 'Professeur' will complete many drifting sessions with that car! We are over the moon because such a colourful character perfectly fits our typical SpaItalia atmosphere! The 'Professeur' breathes passion, does not take himself too seriously, and receives the utmost respect from all the fans. We will again welcome him with open arms!”

Raul Marchisio will even spend the entire weekend in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, because on Saturday, June 15th  he will participate in the 'Giro di SpaItalia', a tour through the region that starts at 1:30 PM at the buildings of 'Saporini – Il Gusto dell'Italia' in Barchon. There will probably be a big crowd cheering him on!

We can be sure that this announcement, and the promise of unparalleled drift shows, will increase attendance at SpaItalia 2024. Let the show begin...
