SpaItalia The general public were there … in hordes!
Even though the weather forecast for Sunday 26th September was mitigated, rain did not come to hamper the smooth running of the 2021 vintage of the Shell SpaItalia! Outcome: several thousand people were on hand to celebrate a brilliant party focussed on Italian cars and motorbikes, enough to fully satisfy both the organiser DG Sport and all the partners!
“The general public were in fact back at the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, and that was tremendous, Florian Jupsin, in the name of DG Sport, cried out. Without the masks, it was as though everything was back to normal, and it benefitted one and all. The ingredients of the Shell SpaItalia 2021 were highly varied, and they obviously went down well!”
With permanent activity on the track and loads of entertainment in the paddocks, enthusiasts of Italian two and/or four wheels were over the moon. The exhibition celebrating 110 years of Alfa Romeo, the omnipresence of the various Ducati machines on the track for their numerous riding sessions, the 75th anniversary of the Vespa worthily celebrated with among others an immense gathering at the foot of the Raidillon, the highly successful Parata Italiana with no less than 500 cars on the legendary circuit, the highly important participation of the various clubs, the MA-FRA Best of Show Concours d’Elegance with more than ever enthusiastic participants, the track initiations in a Ferrari 488 Challenge having been sold out, all in all the day’s result could not have been more positive!
“By way of icing on the cake, the Italian village, one of this 2021 edition’s novelties, delighted the taste buds and largely contributed to the day’s overall atmosphere, Florian Jupsin continued. More than ever, this Sunday, Italy had opted to rendezvous at Francorchamps, and everyone took advantage of it… “
Outcome: the Shell SpaItalia 2022 is already on the books: it will be in the month of June that DG Sport will be at it again, with as ambition to repeat what has clearly become a beautiful and highly popular feast…
